EXPERIENCED ENGINE PROGRAMMER
We’re looking for a talented programmer to help us make games that stand out from the crowd with stunning visuals, silky smooth performance, on cutting edge hardware. This individual works closely with design, art, engineering and project management to ensure that all engine features are carried through to completion and at a high standard. Disruptive engine programmers are responsible for the implementation and tuning of engine features to create a visually engaging and polished experience.
Disruptive Games is comprised of industry veterans as well as young hotshots. We love to play and make games at Disruptive, and only work on projects we are interested in and excited about (no Barbie games, sorry). Disruptive Games is currently expanding our team across all disciplines. Don’t be a cog in a giant machine. Come join a fun startup and help shape our future success!
What You’ll Do:
Design and write game engine and rendering code for ongoing game projects
Identify opportunities for additions and modifications to the existing engine
Work closely with artists to help troubleshoot issues and provide guidance on best practices and performance limits
Improve game performance through profiling, optimizing code, and communicating findings and guidance with rest of team
Contribute innovative and original ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
2+ years of game engine programming experience
Shipped one or more AAA game titles
Significant GPU programming and debugging experience
Good familiarity with current rendering techniques
Deep understanding of multithreaded programming
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
An avid gamer with strong interest in pushing the industry forward both technically and creatively
PlayStation 4 and/or Xbox One experience
Shipped at least one Unreal game
Experience working on a multi-platform software project
Experience as a team or group lead
